Practical experience from motion based street lighting

Diotech has seven pilot operational projects throughout Estonia. The results have proven that besides conventional LED lighting, motion-based control systems will provide additional savings for up to 80%. By replacing an old generation luminaire with an LED luminaire, the result is an average of 3 times the savings effect. By adding a smart combination of LED lights and motion-based controls, the full savings can go up by more than 5 times.
