Estonian Public Broadcasting’s news programme Aktuaalne kaamera covered the Zirgu BESS 200 MW / 800 MWh ESS battery energy storage plant being developed in Tsirguliina, with the first phase planned at 100 MW / 200 MWh. The project marks an important step in strengthening Estonia’s energy security, grid reliability and the integration of renewable energy. Zirgu BESS is designed to help balance the Estonian and Baltic electricity markets and create large-scale modern energy storage capacity in Estonia.
